About This District

The district encompasses two distinct communities. Norwalk is a city of approximately 91,000 residents with a mix of urban, suburban, and waterfront neighborhoods. Wilton is a residential town of approximately 18,500 in the Danbury-Norwalk corridor. Together, the two municipalities produce a diverse docket that includes everything from small estate affidavits to complex estate administrations involving substantial real property holdings.

The court handles a steady volume of conservatorship petitions, reflecting both communities’ aging populations. Guardianship matters, name changes, and trust-related filings round out the court’s regular caseload.

The courthouse is centrally located on East Avenue in Norwalk.
